Carnage du Jour (preview) - 08 October 2021 - Plague Journal Day 575

Micah 6:8
Acts 10:9-15
Yes, your life matters.

Some of you are still sheltering in place, but fear not: I'm here to keep you sane and entertained.
One could hardly ask for much more than that, now could one?

Today is National Pierogi Day! You know, those Polish (and Russian and Ukrainian and all those other ethnicities) filled pasta - sort of Slavic ravioli, I suppose.

At any rate, since that's what we're to celebrate today, I'm thinking to do a pork tenderloin, some braised red cabbage, and some cheese and potato pierogi. (Yes, pierogi is actually the plural - at least in Russian - the singular is pierog.)

If the weather would cooperate by getting a bit cooler, this would seem more appropriate, but a glass of vodka should make pork, cabbage, and pierogi seem like just the thing to have. And it is.

Keep Calm and Don't Stay Away.
I'll be back tomorrow.
The mental health issues related to our lockdown and the pandemic are especially hard for people with depression. NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, has a 24 hour helpline: 800-950-6264.
