14 July 2020 - Plague Journal Day 124

Micah 6:8
Jeremiah 38:20-22
Yes, your life matters.

We all are still sheltering in place, but I'm here to keep you sane and entertained.
One could hardly ask for much more than that, now could one?

Today is National Grand Marnier Day! Yes, we get to celebrate that lovely French liqueur today.
Perhaps this day was selected because today is Bastille Day. "Let's go, children of the fatherland, the day of glory has arrived!" (or words to that effect)
I've often wonder why the word fatherland - la patrie - is a feminine noun in French. Perhaps the French language anticipated today's hyper-sensitive, gender-focused mania and attempted to pre-surrender its integrity. As my flavour consultant might opine: "Cheese eating surrender monkeys."

Indeed.

Keep Calm and Stay Away.
I'll be back tomorrow.
