Hypocrisy, thy name is Bezos - 08 February 2021 - Plague Journal Day 333

Yes, your life matters.

We all are still sheltering in place, but I'm here to keep you sane and entertained.
One could hardly ask for much more than that, now could one?

 Jeff, Jeff, Jeff:

  • Mail-in voting for a Presidential election is great! It makes sure the most people can participate!
    Go America!
  • Mail-in voting for unionization is bad! In-person voting makes sure the most people can participate!
    Go Amazon!

Anyone see a problem here? It all comes down to whose Ox is being Gored (or Bidened, I suppose).

As if I needed any more reasons to dislike Amazon and its kleptocratic overlords.

Keep Calm and Stay Away.
I'll be back tomorrow.

Kindle-age du Jour - 24 January 2015

Well, imagine, if you will, my surprise to find that I had neglected to create Kindle versions of two of the books I've published. Perhaps there was even a bit of disappointment mixed into that surprise.

Happily, I've now remedied that situation, and there are Kindle versions of both Bytes Akimbo - Cybersleuth and An Adventure with Guerrillas available for purchase at Amazon (they're also included in the free borrowing program through Amazon Prime).

Please feel free to take a look at them - and perhaps even to purchase one or both. I won't mind at all.

Enjoy!

Catching up with the times

I just thought I'd join the parade before it passes me by, and move into the era of smartphones and qr codes.

Enjoy:

Shameless Self-Promotion

Well, not totally self, really.
I've just finished the editing process on the new edition (3rd) of a book by my great-great-grandfather.

Titled "Reminiscences - 1861 to 1865, An Adventure With Guerrillas," it's the story of his Civil War encounter with Confederate Guerrillas and his escape from their attempt at his execution.

It's quite a cool little story, really, and it's even available for sale at my lulu.com store (www.lulu.com/grandteuton), but if you want to wait a while, it will also be available through Amazon (not sure how long that process takes) so you can take advantage of Amazon prime or whatever other options you have there.

Pretty nice to be able to bring it back to print after so long - the 2nd edition was in 1899. You have to like some of the technology we can access these days.
